Ohio Home Edit, formally known as Clean Scentsations, is a professional cleaning and organization company that has been proudly serving the Akron Metropolitan region since 2013. At Ohio Home Edit, our mission is to transform your area. We strive to provide a wonderful, pristine, and neatly arranged living space. We acknowledge cleaning can feel quite daunting, especially when chores accumulate throughout a busy week. Having a clean and well-organized space to return to not only reduces stress, it also offers the opportunity to unwind and savor the joys of life.
Behind the Scene
Hello, I’m Joie, the proud owner of Ohio Home Edit. I specialize in home organization and the art of keeping things clean. My passion for cleanliness began at a young age, as my mother always complimented me on my tidy room and how everything had its proper place. Even as a toddler, I exhibited this natural inclination. With my mother working from home, occupied with formulating cross-stitching designs for my great aunt’s business, and being the youngest among my sisters, I recall cleaning and reorganizing their rooms while I was too young to attend school. It gave me joy to make their spaces neat and orderly before they returned home from the day. As I grew older, my mother taught me the value of thorough housecleaning. Every Saturday we joined forces to deeply cleanse our home. It was truly rejuvenating! I learned a lot of my cleaning skills and attention to detail from my mother.
In my teenage years, I eagerly saved my allowance to organize my room and closet space into a stylish haven. My room was like having a miniature home unto itself. Every few months, I would rearrange my furniture and engage in a deep cleaning session.
Fast forward to adulthood and a stay-at-home mom, I began my cleaning business in Clearwater Florida. My previous occupation had been a dental assistant at a local pediatric dental office, but after the birth of my daughter, I realized just how much I cherished my time spent with her and wanted flexible career that ignited my interest. I initiated my research on how to start my own cleaning business and took all the necessary legal steps to ensure its establishment. Two years after my daughters birth, we made the decision to return to my Ohio home, to be close to loved ones. It was in February of 2013 that I officially launched my cleaning business in Ohio.
In addition to my expertise in cleaning, organizing, and household management, I am also a licensed esthetician, providing relaxation massages and signature facials out of my own studio. This allows me to lead a fulfilling life of assisting and educating clients on organization while indulging in my passion for self-care.
